The successful candidate will possess excellent technical, communication, and leadership skills, they will plan, coordinate and track projects, from concept through to delivery of robust customised product offerings.
This newly created role will coordinate people and processes for small to large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget. Additionally, they will project manage our New Product Development and Scale Up process as we take our high-performing technology into new markets and volume production.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a project’s organisation and timeline. Customer management is key, along with ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Role:
The key responsibilities of the Project Manager will be:
- Project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling of all projects.
- To define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of new projects, taking input from internal and external stakeholders
- Developing schedules, managing milestones, scheduling phase gate reviews, and managing customer expectations
- To drive delivery by developing task-level project plans and ensuring new products are delivered on time, with documentation of all work in line with the company’s design and development procedures and standards
- To manage scale-up from R&D to an effective and robust manufacturing process either on-site or for technology transfer to another site
- To develop and improve the Project Management process within the organisation
The Person:
You will have:
- A good understanding of PMI Project Management, Prince2, or similar methodologies
- Experience bidding and delivering R&D projects in automotive, aerospace, space, or defence industries
- At least a basic understanding of AGILE project management
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communications skills and highly organized

Qualifications and Experience
- A BSc, BEng, or BA degree in Engineering, Science, or Business with a recognised Project Management qualification/certification.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in project managing high-tech, electro-mechanical product development.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Experience with integrated (hardware and software) technology products.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced SME organisation.
This role is based in the Bicester facility and reports to the Technical and Operations Director.
